| Microsoft whips up 'Banksy-esque' Surface Street Art 15 November 2012 BrandRepublic & Marketing Magazine Microsoft is targeting trendsetters & early adopters with a 'Banksy-esque' street art campaign for its Surface tablet.. The tech giant has graffitied various buildings, pavements and walls in 30 urban sites in the UK with Surface artwork. The ads are created with chalk and vinyl, though one site in London is in ultra-violet (UV) material, and the tallest 12 metres high. The ads do not have a call to action and the campaign will not be supported by social media or other media activity. Instead, Microsoft hopes the content will be shared organically, which it says will make it more authentic. It will be measuring the reach of the campaign with social buzz monitoring. Created by CURB, this is the first time an image has ever been painted on the airfield, with the flag with a picture of the Queen in the middle 10 metres taller than Buckingham Palace. | O2 calls on CURB Media for New Campaign 22 March 2012 Agency Curb Media is working with O2 to create a nationwide audio experience for consumers visiting its retail stores. From 26 March the song, Little Boxes by Sniffy Dog featuring Adrienne Stiefel, which is the title track from O2s current TV and radio campaign, will be broadcast to the public via so-called Sound Showers and Surface Speakers. The sound showers will be located outside certain stores, as well as in shopping centres and bus shelters. | Malinky The Kinkajou - New Year Update 24 January 2012 We have a received an update on CURBs Malinky the Kinkajou's progress and reports are he is doing very well, and has grown up a lot! Within the last few months, he has matured into a beautiful adult male, and his attitude has grown with him. He is less keen on playing, and is more confident when his keepers enter his enclosure to feed and clean him. Being nocturnal he is often asleep during the Tropical Zoos busiest hours however, come the evening, he can be seen darting around the branches and rope swings at the top of his house. Overall, he is looking very healthy & settled, and we have heard loves a banana or two! |

Then, for Nokia who were hosting the Official Young Lions Beach party on Tuesday 22nd June. We created the main feature bar out of sand, complete with full branding. | Malinky The Kinkajou Update: Training Process 10 January 2011 Malinky is one of the first animals at Tropical Zoo to be trained using clicker training, a technique usually used on dogs. The aim of this training is to give Malinky enrichment; however it also gives us the opportunity to train him for medical checks and maybe public interaction in the future. Malinky has progressed quickly in recent weeks & now associates the clicker sound with a reward of banana, grapes, locusts, mealworms or honey. | Malinky The Kinkajou - Update 25 November 2010 Malinky The Kinkajou Update: Malinky has been continuing to enjoying his newly refurbished enclosure. He is making use of all the equipment. Climbing on the branches and sitting in his new hides. Malinky appears to be quite happily enjoying his own company and his behaviour with the keepers is still improving. He will now sit on their laps and eat treats.. It is believed that Malinky is approximately 4-5 years old and would now considered to be fully grown and is the average size for a male Kinkajou. I enquired as if to one day Malinky would have a mate, but this might cause his behaviour to change dramatically if we were to pair him with a female. So, This is not something that will be considering at this time. Such an event would need great planning. As, firstly an appropriate female would need to be located. She would have to be a perfect match because if they were incompatible and fought, they could seriously injure each other. Kinkajous are generally solitary animals but it may be something that could be considered in the future. Kinkajous can live for up to 25years, so there will be plenty of time to search for the perfect mate when the time arrises. Read More >> |

| Malinky The Kinkajou - Update 11 October 2010 The Tropical Zoo have been busy recently refurbishing Malinkys enclosure. Since doing so, he has become incredibly inquisitive, foraging and investigating his new surroundings. The biggest success of the refurbishment has been his new 'den', which is a large barrel at the top of his enclosure. He spends much of his day sleeping in there but he is also spending time out and about now that the nights are drawing in and its starting to get darker earlier.. so Malinky will be able to enjoy longer nocturnal activities..
